The Andhra Pradesh government is planning a 30-acre industrial park exclusively for women entrepreneurs to help boost women-led businesses and economic empowerment in the state. The project was launched through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the state government and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry-Ladies Organisation (FICCI-FLO).
This exclusive women’s industrial park will provide modern “plug-and-play” infrastructure tailored to women-run startups, small enterprises and manufacturing units. The goal is to create a supportive environment where women can start, expand and scale their ventures with greater ease.
Under the plan, the industrial park will offer infrastructure, mentoring, training and market linkage support to women entrepreneurs, while helping generate local employment and economic independence for women across sectors. The project aligns with the state’s broader vision of “One Family, One Entrepreneur,” which encourages entrepreneurship in every household.
Officials say the move will also complement Andhra Pradesh’s MSME development efforts, which include the creation of multiple industrial parks across the state to support small- and medium-sized enterprises and reduce regional disparities.
