Leading consumer health and hygiene brand Kimberly-Clark has announced a $28.7 million global investment aimed at strengthening women’s health initiatives across Asia and Latin America. The company revealed plans to fund large-scale programs that will address critical gaps in menstrual health, maternal care, sanitation access, and reproductive education.
The initiative is set to benefit an estimated 24 million women and girls over the next three years. The company is partnering with grassroots NGOs, humanitarian networks, and health-focused organizations to implement the programs on the ground. Efforts will include the distribution of menstrual hygiene products, awareness campaigns, mobile medical services, and support systems for underserved communities.
Kimberly-Clark emphasized that the investment aligns with its long-term commitment to gender health equity, particularly in regions where socio-economic barriers restrict access to safe, affordable hygiene and healthcare. The program also aims to reduce school dropouts linked to menstrual challenges and improve health outcomes for young mothers.
Officials noted that this move could inspire similar high-impact collaborations from multinational corporations and development agencies in the coming years.
