A new report by Acronis reveals that over 80% of women working in the tech industry believe that having more women in leadership roles would lead to a better workplace culture.

The survey highlights a clear gap between men’s and women’s experiences in tech. While most men feel that equal opportunities already exist, a large number of women disagree, pointing to ongoing challenges such as limited access to career growth, lack of mentorship, and work-life imbalance.

More than 60% of women said balancing personal and professional life affects their career advancement, and many still face bias when aiming for leadership positions—especially in technical and cybersecurity roles.

Experts say that increasing female leadership in technology not only promotes fairness but also drives innovation and collaboration. A diverse leadership team, they note, helps build more inclusive and empathetic workplaces—something the industry still needs to achieve.

The findings make one thing clear: representation matters. As more women take leadership roles in technology, the entire ecosystem stands to benefit from stronger teamwork, creativity, and equality.
