Summit Brings Together Atlanta’s Women Leaders
On September 23, 2025, more than 250 women entrepreneurs, professionals, and community leaders convened for the the 12th Annual Women on the MOVE Summit. Held at Georgia Power, the summit offered a full day of keynote talks, panel discussions, and networking—centered on leadership, the power of intentional relationships, and cultivating influence from a place of authenticity.
Theme: Relationships As Leadership Fuel
This year’s guiding theme explored how relationships serve as the backbone to effective leadership.
Leading With Intention
Speakers emphasized that leadership is not merely about titles or actions—it’s about how one shows up for others. As Dr. Kim McNair, CEO of Kim McNair Productions and Founder of the Business Women Empowerment Project (BWEP), declared:
“Relationships will take you further than any hustle ever will.”
Her message resonated: that influence deepens when grounded in trust, connection, and mutual support.
An Unconventional Panel
One of the summit’s most talked-about sessions was an all-male leadership panel, which offered attendees a chance to hear leadership advice from a male perspective. Many found the discussion refreshing, noting how it challenged conventional notions and opened new lenses on power, collaboration, and allyship.
A Hub for Growth & Collaboration
The Women on the MOVE Summit is designed to be more than just speeches—it’s a space for action, connection, and transformation.
Empowering Voices & Bold Moves
From corporate executives to small-business founders, attendees ranged widely in experience—and the programming reflected that. Panelists and speakers encouraged participants to make bold, deliberate moves in their careers and communities, reminding them that influence comes in many forms.
Networking as a Strategy
Between sessions, participants shared stories, explored partnerships, and built peer relationships. These connections often became catalysts for new projects, mentorships, or collaborative initiatives rooted in shared purpose.
Impact & Momentum in the Community
This event doesn’t just serve as a one-day gathering—it contributes to ongoing momentum for women’s leadership in Atlanta and beyond.
Testimonials That Inspire
One attendee shared:
“First off, the event was amazing, and being around all of the powerful women in the room was inspiring. The lawyer you had up there definitely dropped a few gems, and I took a bunch of notes!”
Stories like these reflect how attendees leave not just inspired—but equipped with tools, new networks, and renewed confidence.
Institutional Backing
Hosted in partnership with Georgia Power, the summit underscores strong institutional support for advancing women in leadership roles—reinforcing that empowerment is not just an individual journey, but one with organizational, civic, and systemic dimensions.
Looking Forward: Beyond the Summit
As the 12th edition closes, organizers and participants alike are eyeing future impact.
Sustaining the Movement
Plans are already in motion for next year: deeper programming, more inclusive panels, expanding reach beyond metro Atlanta, and stronger follow-through to ensure momentum doesn’t fade with the closing remarks.
A Call to Collaboration
Organizers invite nonprofits, corporations, educational institutions, and community groups to join in supporting the vision: cultivating “leaders with heart” who build power through connection, integrity, and shared purpose.
